How Do Jio Postpaid Plans Exactly Work?
Jio is the trade name of Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited whose headquarters is based in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Jio is an Indian telecommunications company and a parent company of Jio platforms. It controls the function of Long Term Evolution (LTE) wireless broadband networks for mobile devices across 22 telecom circles. Jio is the largest mobile network operator with approximately 41,596 crores subscribers in India and the third largest in the world.
The main attracting fact of Jio is the price, which is affordable for the population and at the same time provides ample mobile facilities to keep oneself updated. Additionally, many offers are introduced in the Jio mobile postpaid plans. There is a difference between pre and postpaid plans depending on the time of paying the amount for the services used. In a postpaid plan, the amount is paid before using the services and can be recharged accordingly using the Jio plan, whereas, in a postpaid plan, the amount is paid afterward.
Working process of the Jio postpaid plan:
Postpaid plans are mostly used by businessmen, employees, call centers, frequent travelers, and others. The reason is the billing system, where the user pays after the usage at a particular time. The billing address can be used by the consumer as an identification proof, for reimbursement, for keeping a track of financial expenditures, etc. The billing amount of the postpaid plan is paid at the end of the pre-decided period by both the user as well as the provider, the period could be of 1 month, 6 months, or one year depending on the Jio postpaid plans. Applying for a postpaid sim card is detailed and includes much information about the consumer. Jio postpaid plan is expensive as 18% GST needs to be paid separately along with the selected plan. There are two different Jio postpaid plans: Jio postpaid plus and Jio postpaid regular. In Jio postpaid regular plan at Rs 199, available data is 25GB, charge for an additional 1 GB Rs.20, unlimited calls, 100 SMS, Jio apps like Jio TV, Jio Cinema, Jio Saavn, and unlimited caller tunes are present. Whereas in Jio postpaid plus the 5 different plans for 399, 599, 799, 999, and 1499 rupees with data of 75,100,150, 200, and 300 GB respectively. Additionally, Rs.10 for 1GB, unlimited call time, 100 SMS, Rollover data, Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Disney+ Hotstar free subscriptions are available along with the plan. The benefit of the postpaid plan is you can use unlimited data, the extra data charge will be added to the bill without interrupting the service.
Thus, Jio postpaid plan has merits but needs to be used consciously or else a heavy amount of bills will be issued unlike the postpaid where data is not accessible once Jio plan expire.
